Endowment investment analyst salary.
The published bands, side by side.
Investment teams publish different salary terms for different work. Compare annual base-pay bands for analysts, senior analysts and associates at endowments and foundations, then check the original record.
What do published investment-role bands look like?
For example, DUMAC advertised $108,000 annual base for its public- and private-team analyst roles; Packard published $117,000–$129,000 for an investment analyst. Columbia published $140,000–$160,000 for an analyst program with a July 2027 start. These jobs have different scope and terms, so the figures are not averaged together.

How to compare an endowment offer
Match the work and appointment.
A generalist investment analyst, a quantitative risk associate and an investment-operations analyst can have different responsibilities. Read the team, office, experience requirements and fixed-term program dates before comparing amounts. This table includes investment roles; operations and institution-wide executive roles are excluded.
Read base and incentives separately.
A posted base band does not establish bonus or total compensation. Ask for the written target, eligibility, performance conditions and payout timing. Amherst describes a 15% incentive target and UChicago an incentive of up to 35%; neither is a realized award, and no payout is added to base pay here.
Check the period and source.
A July 2027 analyst intake is a program start, not evidence of 2027 realized pay. A capture date says when the source was retained. Follow the employer link to check current terms, and use the record detail for the retained source notes if a posting has been removed.
What this comparison measures
The reviewed source collection contains 16 annual USD employer-posted bands for investment analysts, senior analysts and associates across 11 institutions. It excludes executive Form 990 disclosures, offered-wage filings, investment operations, unclassified investor roles and hourly pay. Values retain the source’s annual period; no hourly conversion, midpoint, salary average or total-compensation estimate is calculated.
Equal lower and upper amounts mean one advertised amount. Ford’s starting salary retains an unknown upper bound. Unpublished bonus and benefit values remain unknown. Multiple records can describe one requisition, and records are not employees or an independent market sample.
Source capture dates are October 15 and 23, 2026; this report was published October 28. Historical source access, passed deadlines and closed programs are labeled in a separate table. An employer page being accessible when captured does not establish that a job remains open.
The CSV contains these public source observations and their URLs, native values, original dates, captured status and this report’s historical classification. Source rights remain with their publishers; the export does not claim exclusive ownership or grant a new license over employer material.

Questions about endowment analyst pay
How much does an endowment investment analyst make?
The captured employer examples include DUMAC at $108,000 annual base, Packard at $117,000–$129,000 and Columbia at $140,000–$160,000 for a July 2027-start program. Each describes a particular job or program. The collection does not establish a market-wide average or an individual employee’s earnings.
Do these salaries include bonus, carry or benefits?
No. This comparison presents posted annual base pay. Source notes retain incentive eligibility or target language where disclosed. A bonus amount, carry entitlement, retirement contribution or full compensation package is not inferred.
What about Harvard and Yale analyst salaries?
Harvard’s retained generalist analyst posting shows a historical $100,000–$140,000 annual base band and is in the historical table. This reviewed collection has no verified numeric Yale investment analyst band. Executive pay disclosures answer a different question and are not used to fill that gap.
Are the listed institutions hiring now?
This is salary research, not a live jobs feed. Sources were captured October 15 and 23. Check the employer’s careers site for current availability and terms; a future program start or previously captured “open” label does not establish an available position today.
